I hate my Pitching Wedge and all the rest of my clubs are Callaway Big Berthas.....

... I saw a few months ago that Callaway's started offering a 10 Iron (between a nine and a wedge) and I wanted it....

Oh sorry... I forgot that not too many of you play golf.

A full set of Callaway Big Bertha irons sells for $600-$900.

I bought (sniped) a used set last year for about $250, but it didn't have the 10. I went to buy a new one at the store and they would only sell them as a full set. [img]mad.gif[/img]

About 5 years ago I bought a set of Fila ( [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img] ) clubs from Target (75% off, so they were around $60). I probably used them 15 times. My grandfather tried to get me into golf when I was a kid, but I guess he didn't try hard enough. Fun game, but I don't have the dedication to get any better at it.

As anyone who knows me very well can attest, I tend to get obsessive when I get into something.

When I first started playing I was shooting in the low 100's and was PISSED... I had some people tell me "I've been playing for 10 years and that's about how I shoot."

I looked at them and said "Then why do you play?" [img]eek.gif[/img] I didn't understand anything less than perfect.

Last year I was shooting in the 90's.

This year I've shot 5 and 6 over when playing 9 several times.... I need to play a few more 18's and see if I'm actually shooting in the low 80's or if I'm actually in the high 80's. [img]smile.gif[/img]
